Radio Project

Radio Project

Over the recent months, I have been getting more and more interested in the world of radio and whats in the wolrd around us.

I have been exploring the different aspects of radio communication and the technology behind it.

So far, I have been learning about radio waves and how they are used for communication, as well as the different technologies that are used to transmit and receive radio signals.

Looking ahead, I plan to continue learning about radio and its applications, and I am excited to see where this interest takes me in the future.

I plan to get involved in local radio clubs and events to gain more hands-on experience and connect with other enthusiasts.

I wish this year to get my amateur radio license.

Meshtastic

I have been exploring Meshtastic, a project that enables decentralized radio communication using existing radio hardware.

It's a low-power, long-range communication solution that allows devices to communicate directly without relying on traditional infrastructure.

Meshtastic is designed to be easy to use and accessible, making it a great option for outdoor enthusiasts, emergency responders, and anyone interested in exploring the possibilities of radio communication.

I'm excited to continue learning about Meshtastic and its applications, and I look forward to experimenting with it in the future.

Me and a friend have both been working on our own Meshtastic nodes, investigating how it works and its limitations as use of communication in urban and rural environments with varying conditions and terrains.

Here are some photos of our Meshtastic nodes:

Baofeng Radio

I have been exploring the Baofeng radio, a popular handheld radio used for amateur radio communication.

It's a versatile device that offers good performance and is widely used by enthusiasts for both local and long-distance communication.

I'm excited to continue learning about the Baofeng radio and its capabilities, and I look forward to experimenting with it in the future.

Currently im only listening to the frequencies available as it is illegal to transmit without a license.

I really enjoy listening to the air band as there is always something interesting happening.

Here are some photos of my Baofeng radio:

Future Plans

Looking ahead, I plan to continue exploring the world of radio and its applications, and I am excited to see where this interest takes me in the future.

I also have a new project in mind that i'm looking to develop however the cost is not within my budget at the moment.

The project is an old ammunition case that I am converting into a mini computer and portable radio monitoring station.

I'm excited to continue learning about radio and its applications, and I look forward to experimenting with this project in the future.
